It is the fourth largest river of India after Ganga, Godavari and Brahmaputra. The river originates from the Western Ghats near Jor village of Satara district of Maharashtra at Mahabaleshwar and after traversing a length of 1435 km, empties into the Bay of Bengal at Hamasaladeevi in Andhra Pradesh. Krishna Basin occupies an area of 2.58 Lakh sq. km which is nearly 8% of the total geographical area of the country. Visually challenged students, Presenting a talent show On Independence Day On this Independence Day (15th August, 2019 - Thursday), members of Association of 41 Club of India belonging to Club 116, under the aegis of its SYJ (Share Your Joy) project visited Jyothi Seva Society, the Blind School in Fraser Town area. Educational material and mattresses were donated to support the cause of visually challenged students. The occasion was also graced by past President of 41 Clubs of India, Mr. Manoj Kapur who spoke about the movement and its vision towards helping the needy. The Chairman of Club 116, also spoke about the inherent talent of the visually challenged students and appreciated the same. Other members of Club 116 also attended the function. The Independence Day was celebrated with the unfolding of National Flag and singing of the National Anthem by the visually challenged students, who presented a talent show / drill which was a treat to watch.
